basket weavers and the fabric on the front is hand-loomed on a back-strap loom
by MayaBags®
weavers.
Lined in coordinating silk, this bag is extremely light weight and can go
anywhere, any time of the day.
The vintage button on the front and the braided closure gives it that
extra dash of fancy.

Designed by Izabel Lam, well-known clothing, jewelry, and table top designer, these purses are truly unique. Made for evening wear, the fabric top is hand-loomed on a back strap loom by a Maya woman, the basket is hand-coiled by a Maya woman and is lined with silk, and the long strap for either over your shoulder or across the body has been hand made with linked coconut shell "donuts". The total look is topped off with a vintage button. The purse is 6" wide by 4" tall and the colors you see here are available. If you want a special color, we can make it. Please allow 8 weeks for special orders.

It's made of Belgian linen, with a hand-embroidered butterfly on 100% eco-cotton appliquéd onto the front of the bag. It's lined in 100% cotton in a complimentary color.
